TUCSON – The San Antonio Rampage stumbled in Tucson, falling in two straight games to the Tucson Roadrunners (4-1-0) over the weekend.

Saturday’s loss is the first regulation loss for San Antonio, who picked just one out of a possible four points. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the weekend games.

Friday: RAMPAGE 3, Tucson 4 (OT)

The Rampage fell 4-3 in overtime to the Roadrunners on Friday night, picking up a point in the loss.

San Antonio got the scoring started with Niko Mikkola’s second goal of the season at the 6:19 mark of the second period. Nolan Stevens made his season debut and made an impact, forcing the turnover that led to Mikkola’s goal.

The Roadrunners took the lead with a pair of goals 14 seconds apart. Lane Pederson beat Ville Husso with a one-timer from the left circle and Michael Chaput took advantage of a San Antonio turnover for a goal at 8:51.

San Antonio tied the game up when Reinke fed Stevens for his first goal of the season. In the overtime period, Andy Miele’s backhander would be the difference.
