HIGHLIGHTS:
TUCSON – The San Antonio Rampage stumbled in Tucson, falling in two straight games to the Tucson Roadrunners (4-1-0) over the weekend.
Saturday’s loss is the first regulation loss for San Antonio, who picked just one out of a possible four points. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the weekend games.
Friday: RAMPAGE 3, Tucson 4 (OT)
The Rampage fell 4-3 in overtime to the Roadrunners on Friday night, picking up a point in the loss.
San Antonio got the scoring started with Niko Mikkola’s second goal of the season at the 6:19 mark of the second period. Nolan Stevens made his season debut and made an impact, forcing the turnover that led to Mikkola’s goal.
The Roadrunners took the lead with a pair of goals 14 seconds apart. Lane Pederson beat Ville Husso with a one-timer from the left circle and Michael Chaput took advantage of a San Antonio turnover for a goal at 8:51.
San Antonio tied the game up when Reinke fed Stevens for his first goal of the season. In the overtime period, Andy Miele’s backhander would be the difference.
Saturday: RAMPAGE 2, Tucson 4
The Rampage suffered their first regulation loss in a 4-2 loss to the Roadrunners on Saturday night.
Reinke and Tanner Kapsick both scored for the Rampage, who are 0-1-2 in their last three games. San Antonio led by a goal going into the third period but gave up four goals in the final frame.

The Rampage are now 3-1-2 (7 points) on the season and will return to the ice on Friday to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (3-2-1) at Mohegan Sun Arena.
