The San Antonio Rampage split their two-game weekend set with the Chicago Wolves (25-17-6-2) and the Rockford IceHogs (26-22-3-3) as the Silver and Black continued their Rodeo Road Trip in Illinois.

San Antonio earned two of a possible four points on the weekend, pushing their Rodeo Trip record to 2-4-2-0 through eight of the 12 games. Here is a recap of the weekend:

RAMPAGE 2, Chicago Wolves 1

Saturday’s tilt at Rosemont saw both the Rampage and Chicago go through a defensive battle. Both San Antonio and Chicago traded goals in the opening 20 minutes, with the Wolves getting on the board first with Griffin Reinhart’s tally. The Rampage responded with a power-play goal off the stick of Andrew Agozzino.

Reid Petryk scored the lone goal of the second period as he forced a Chicago turnover, giving San Antonio the lead for good. The rest of the game would turn into a defensive battle as the Silver and Black held on for two points.

RAMPAGE 3, Rockford IceHogs 4

Sunday afternoon saw a sluggish San Antonio squad come out, but start the game strong. Chris Bigra lit the lamp just 2:49 into the game, putting the Rampage up a goal early. Rockford evened things up with a power-play goal from Luke Johnson before the intermission.

The IceHogs scored three straight goals to blow the game open in the middle frame. Tanner Kero, Henrik Samuelsson, and Nathan Noel all scored to put Rockford up 4-1. Ville Husso replaced Spencer Martin in net after the third goal.

San Antonio rallied with goals from Klim Kostin and Rocco Grimaldi, but it was too late.
