The San Antonio Rampage suffered back-to-back losses to the Texas Stars (6-5-1-1) this weekend as their woes on the ice continued. The loss was the third straight for San Antonio overall, who have not won at home since October 28.
In case you missed it, here is a recap of the weekend that was for the Rampage:
Saturday, November 10 – RAMPAGE 1, Texas 8
The Rampage suffered an 8-1 beatdown loss to the Stars at the H-E-B Center on Saturday night. Jakub Jerabek scored the lone goal for the Rampage, being the lone star for the team in recent weeks.
Erik Condra scored three of the eight Texas goals, while Colton Hargrove, Joel L’Esperance, Justin Dowling, and Colin Markison tallied goals in the game as well.
Sunday, November 11: RAMPAGE 2, Texas 4
Less than 24 hours later, the two teams battled again, this time at the AT&T Center. Despite two first period goals, the Stars would come out on top once again.
Jordan Nolan and Klim Kostin each scored a goal for San Antonio but a third-period comeback would give the Stars all four points on the weekend. Texas scored three straight goals as Travis Morin knotted the score up before Roope Hintz’s game-winning power-play goal.
“We got a lot of guys that are just putting on the game shirt and going out and filling a body,” Rampage head coach Drew Bannister said.
