Weekend recap: Rampage losing skid continues in Manitoba

WINNIPEG – The San Antonio Rampage closed out the weekend with losses to the Manitoba Moose (3-3-0) at the Bell MTS Place on Friday and Sunday night.

The loss is fifth straight for San Antonio after winning their first game of the season. Here is a recap of how each game went for the St. Louis Blues affiliate.

Friday, October 19: Rampage 1, Manitoba 4

The Rampage fell in their first road contest of the 2018-19 season, a 4-1 loss to the Moose on Friday night. Tanner Kaspick netted the lone goal of the night for San Antonio as Ville Husso stopped 26 of 29 shots in the loss.

Manitoba had goals from Jansen Harkins, Seth Griffith, and JC Lipton in the win.

Sunday, October 20: Rampage 3, Manitoba 6

San Antonio closed out their trip to Canada with a 6-3 loss to the Moose on Sunday afternoon. Mitch Reinke and Nikita Soshnikov scored their first goals of the season for the Rampage but it was not enough.

The Rampage struggled defensively and could not contain Mason Appleton’s three-goal, five-point performance.

The Rampage are now 1-5-0 (2 points) on the season and will return to the ice on Tuesday night when they face the Milwaukee Admirals (5-1-1, 11 points) at 7 pm Central Time.
