Weekend recap: Rampage fall to Reign as point streak ends

The San Antonio Rampage fell in both games over the weekend to the Ontario Reign over the weekend, snapping their point streak at six games.

In Friday’s contest, San Antonio went down by three goals as Michael Mersch, Quinton Shore, and Mersch again put the Reign up 3-0 in the second period. Felix Girard would cut the Ontario lead to two with a tally at the end of the middle frame.

Rocco Grimaldi’s power play goal in the final frame would not be enough as the Rampage fell 3-2.

On Saturday, San Antonio was blanked 2-0 by the Reign for their second loss of the weekend.
