The San Antonio Rampage (2-1-0-0) return to the ice to drop the puck on a busy weekend as they open their first “three-in-three” of the season against the Texas Stars (3-1-0-0) beginning tonight.
Last time out: The Rampage earned a 3-2 win over the San Jose Barracuda to earn a weekend split in California after dropping their previous game to the Bakersfield Condors. Rocco Grimaldi got his first goal of the season in the win.
Special Teams stay hot: The Rampage continue to stay hot on the penalty kill, stopping four-of-five San Jose chances in Saturday’s win. For the season, San Antonio is 14-of-15 on the PK. On the flip side, the Silver and Black are at 37.5 percent on the power play, good enough for second in the league.
Against Texas: Tonight will be the first of 14 games between the Lone Star State rivals. In the preseason, the Rampage and Stars split their home-and-home series.
The Rampage and Stars will drop the puck at 7:30 p.m. from the H-E-B Center.
