PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KANNON WILLIAMS | Harlan
Williams completed 17-of-22 passes for 318 yards (77.3%) and four touchdowns as No. 3 Harlan came back from a 14-0 deficit to defeat Harlandale, 63-35. Williams added a pair of rushing touchdowns in the victory. For the season, Williams has thrown for 17 touchdowns for unbeaten Harlan.

  1. WAGNER (5-1, 4-0 in 13-5A I) – Defeated Brackenridge, 61-0 (1)
    – Wagner sophomore quarterback Isaiah Williams completed both his passing attempts for 154 yards and two touchdowns as the Thunderbirds rolled. Junior L.J. Butler rushed for three touchdowns to pace Wagner. Senior Joshua Cobbs reeled in his sixth touchdown pass of the year for the Thunderbirds.
  2. CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN (6-0, IND.) – Defeated Midland Christian, 17-14 (2)
    – Lucas Coley’s 44-yard touchdown run broke the game open as Cornerstone Christian held off Midland Christian. Coley finished with 88 rushing yards to lead the Warriors to a Homecoming victory.
  3. HARLAN (6-0, 2-0 in 14-5A I) – Defeated Harlandale, 63-35 (3)
    – Player of the Week Kannon Williams accounted for six touchdowns as Harlan remained unbeaten. Williams threw for 318 yards and four touchdowns. A.J. McDade rushed for 192 yards and a pair of touchdowns to continue his fantastic junior campaign.
  4. KERRVILLE TIVY (4-1, 2-0 in 14-5A II) – Idle (4)
  5. BOERNE CHAMPION (4-1, 1-1 in 14-5A II) – Idle (5)
  6. VETERANS MEMORIAL (5-1, 4-0 in 13-5A I) – Defeated Highlands, 64-6 (6)
    -Kahliq Paulette threw for four scores for the second week in a row as Veterans Memorial took care of business against Highlands. Isaac Barrera visited the end zone three times to pace the Patriots.
  7. NAVARRO (5-0, 0-0 in 13-4A II) – Idle (8)
  8. SOUTHSIDE (4-1, 1-1 in 15-5A II) – Lost to Tuloso-Midway, 24-21 (7)
    – In controversial fashion, the Cardinals drop their first game of the season on the road.
  9. FREDERICKSBURG (2-3, 0-0 in 14-4A I) – Idle (11)
  10. BOERNE (4-1, 0-0 in 15-4A I) – Defeated then-No. 9 Antonian Prep, 28-22
    – Rashawn Galloway threw for four scores as Boerne held off then-No. 9 Antonian Prep. Galloway threw for 285 yards and four scores to four different receivers. Boerne heads into district play with its only loss coming to No. 9 Fredericksburg.
