UTSA senior running back Jalen Rhodes has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list, it was announced on Tuesday.
The announcement was made at the East Texas Kickoff Luncheon.
Rhodes is one of 47 players selected to the award watch list and is also an Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® nominee and Wuerffel Trophy watch list member. The award is presented to the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that include performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and drive.
The Rowlett, Texas native has rushed for 1,728 yards and 17 touchdowns on 349 carries during his three years at UTSA and is 666 yards away from becoming the program’s all-time leader rusher.
UTSA will kick off the 2018 season on September 1 at Arizona State.
