UTSA edges Old Dominion 24-23 on the road

A fourth-quarter rally gives UTSA a big road win with three games remaining

NORFOLK – The UTSA Roadrunners used a big fourth-quarter rally to come back and defeat Old Dominion (1-9, 0-6) 24-23 at Ballard Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The win is the second in the last three games for UTSA, who have two of their final three games at home to end the season.

UTSA quarterback Lowell Narcisse finished the game with 18 of 23 competitions, 240 passing yards, and a touchdown. He also ran for 137 yards on 23 carries. It was easily his best game in a Roadrunners uniform.

Heading into the fourth quarter, UTSA trailed 23-10 but two big scores and a solid defense stance gave the Roadrunners a win. Running back Sincere McCormick ran the ball in from two yards out for a touchdown and Narcisse found Carlos Stickland II for an 11-yard reception for a score, putting the visitors up a point late in the quarter.

The UTSA Roadrunners are now 4-5 (3-2, C-USA) on the season and will return to the field next Saturday when they welcome Southern Miss to the Alamodome at 5 p.m.
