Trinity Tigers Head Coach Jerheme Urban and junior running back Michael Edmonson earned Southern Athletic Association (SAA) honors after the Tigers earned a share of the SAA conference championship.

Urban was named the SAA Football Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers to an 8-2 overall record and a 7-1 conference mark, earning a share of the conference title with Berry. Urban now has a 38-22 (.633) overall and is 18-6 (.750) in SAA competition since joining Trinity six seasons ago.

Edmonson was named the Special Teams Player of the Year. He ran 30 times for 145 yards and a touchdown, returned four punts for 60 yards and a touchdown, and made 11 kick returns for 345 yards.
