DANVILLE – The Trinity Tigers fell short to Centre (KY) College 33-28 in a Southern Athletic Association road contest on Saturday afternoon.
After each team traded first quarter touchdowns, both teams really got the ball rolling in the second. Jay Foster got loose for a 41-yard touchdown run, putting Trinity back on top 14-7.
Centre quickly added two scores to take a 21-14 lead but it was short lived as Chris Stewart ran the ball home for a 95-yard touchdown run to tie the game up at 21 apiece. Centre added two field goals to go up 27-21 early in the third quarter.
Trinity would go on a seven-play, 59-yard drive to cap things off with a touchdown and take a 28-27 lead in the fourth quarter. The Tigers would turn the ball over three different times as Centre scored the game-winner on an 83-yard drive on 10 plays.

Trinity is now 3-3 (2-2, SAA) on the season and will return to the field next Saturday when they return home to face Sewanee at 1 pm Central Time.
