Texas Halfcourt Trap Ep. 5 – Area Schools Excel From Three

Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Texas Halfcourt Trap Podcast. Your hosts, as always, are Aaron Meullion, Stephen Anderson and Jonas Clark, all college staff writers with the Project Spurs Network.

It was a great week last week for UIW, Texas State and UTSA, as all three schools went undefeated in their slate of games. We look back on the week that was and review the performances, and later in the show look at the week ahead for all three schools as the season thins down.

Our discussion topic today is the three-point ball, as Texas State and UIW both rank in the top 13 programs nationally from beyond the arc. Is there any going back from this style of basketball? Why are minor and mid-major programs better from deep? We discuss these questions and more on this episode of the Texas Half-Court Trap Podcast.

**Note: This episode was recorded before UTSA announced Luka Barisic’s decision to leave the program amid COVID-19 concerns.
