The San Antonio Stars snapped a six game losing streak with a 85-74 win over the Washington Mystics inside the Verizon Center on Sunday evening.
Monique Currie, Jazmon Gwathmey, and Astou Ndour all finished with 16 points apiece. Moriah Jefferson added 15 for San Antonio, who got their first win since July 6.
San Antonio outscored Washington 26-6 in the second quarter, their biggest margin of the season.
The Mystics were led by Tayler Hill’s 26 points. Tierra Ruffin-Pratt added 17 and Emma Meesseman chipped in 10 for Washington (9-16), who are trying to get back into the playoff picture.
