The San Antonio Stars will host a Becky Hammon retirement ceremony following the Stars game against the Minnesota Lynx on August 15. The ceremony will honor Hammon’s 16-year career in the WNBA as she gets ready to retire after the 2014 season.

Guests for the ceremony will include Hammon herself along with WNBA President Laurel Richie, Stars Head Coach Dan Hughes and President of sports franchises for Spurs Sports & Entertainment R.C. Buford. Other guests are also expected to be in attendance.

Hammon is currently in her eighth season in San Antonio and is the Stars’ all-time leader in assists, three-point field goals made and points per game while ranking second in franchise history in points and games.

The ceremony will air live on Fox Sports Southwest following the game on August 15.
