After a successful 2014 WNBA Draft, the San Antonio Stars continue to make moves. San Antonio Head Coach/General Manager Dan Hughes announced the signings of guard Whitney Hand-Jones and forward Carolyn Davis to training camp contracts.
Hand-Jones was originally drafted by the Stars with the 32nd pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft from the University of Oklahoma. In her four years at OU, she averaged 11.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.15 steals per game and was named All-Big 12 First Team.
Davis is a 6-3 forward from the University of Kansas but spend most of the past offseason playing overseas in France. She averaged 15.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in her senior season with KU and All-Big 12 First Team following the 2011-12 season.
The Stars will open training camp on Sunday, April 27 as they prepare to open the season on May 16 against the Atlanta Dream on the road.
