Stars sign Kalana Greene

The San Antonio Stars have signed guard Kalana Greene, Stars head coach and general manager Dan Hughes announced on Tuesday.

Greene spent the last season with the Washington Mystics where she averaged 0.8 points and 0.6 rebounds per game in 20 games played. Prior to that she spent three seasons with the Connecticut Sun, having her best season in 2011. She averaged 5.8 ppg and shot 39 percent from 3-point range.

Alex Montgomery injured her knee in Saturday’s 95-87 overtime loss to the Chicago Sky. Her status is currently unknown.


The Stars are currently 0-6 on the season and will return to the court Thursday night when they welcome the Phoenix Mercury to the Freeman Coliseum at 7 p.m.
