SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Stars have signed forward Cierra Burdick to a seven-day contract, the team announced on Monday afternoon.
Burdick averaged 2.2 points and 1.0 rebounds in six games with the New York Liberty during the 2017 season. She played overseas during the offseason with Bnot Hertzeliya 14.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in eight games and 13.9 points, 13.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists with A.S. Ramat Hasharon Electra.
The signing comes after the team waived center Erika de Souza per her request so she could travel home to rehab from a bone bruise in her leg.
The Stars are currently 7-21 on the season and will return to the court on Friday when they face the Seattle Storm at 9:30 p.m. at KeyArena.
