Stars re-sign Sydney Colson


The San Antonio Stars have re-signed guard Sydney Colson to a contract for the 2016 season, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Colson returns after spending the 2015 season with San Antonio, averaging 3.5 points, 2.8 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 15.9 minutes. In her career with both the Stars and New York Liberty, she has averages of 2.8 points and 2.1 assists per game in 12.5 minutes.

“I am very excited to get the opportunity to stay in San Antonio with the Stars,” said Colson. “Individually I have worked hard to improve so I can contribute to the team when called upon. As a team, we are ready to get back to work and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”

The Stars will tip off the 2016 season on  Saturday, May 14 against the Atlanta Dream at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
