The San Antonio Stars have re-signed guard Danielle Robinson to a multi-year contract, Stars head coach and general manager Dan Hughes announced on Monday morning.
“The signing of Danielle Robinson was one of our priorities this year,” said Hughes. “It has been exciting to watch her improve year-to-year with San Antonio. She is getting better every year and is now moving into a position where her leadership becomes even more important to us going forward. She is a big part of the community and our team. Danielle is driven to be a great player and it is really exciting for us that she will be a Star for multiple years to come.”
Robinson averaged 12.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists during the 2014 season and in her career she has averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds. She was named to the Western Conference All-Star team in 2013 and 2014 seasons.
The Stars will open the 2015 season on June 5 against the defending champion Phoenix Mercury before hosting the Tulsa Shock for their home opener on June 14 at Freeman Coliseum.
