The San Antonio Stars are getting one of their floor leaders and offensive weapons back in Silver and Black as the team announced on Monday, they have re-signed forward Danielle Adams to a multi-year deal.
Adams averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in the 2014 season. She made 39 total three-pointers last season, tying her for third on the team. The 26-year-old was selected in the second round of the 2011 WNBA Draft from Texas A&M University.
“We are pleased to have Danielle Adams with the Stars going into the future,” Stars head coach and general manager Dan Hughes said. “She is truly a unique and versatile player that creates matchup issues for the opposition. Danielle has become an exciting WNBA story after being drafted in a later round in 2011, and we are happy to have her in San Antonio.”
Adams has averaged 12.4 points in her WNBA career.
The Stars will open the 2015 season on June 5 against the defending champion Phoenix Mercury before hosting the Tulsa Shock for their home opener on June 14 at Freeman Coliseum.
