The San Antonio Stars look to avenge a loss to the Tulsa Shock just 48 hours ago when the two teams meet this afternoon in Oklahoma to conclude their home-and-home series.

San Antonio (0-3) is coming off a 73-62 home loss to Tulsa. Kayla McBride finished with 17 points and Danielle Robinson added 10 points. Despite being winless, the Stars defense has held opponents to 38.6 percent shooting, the Shock shot just 35.7 percent in Sunday’s win.

The Stars are off to their worst start in ten years. In 2005, they started 0-5 and finished 7-27 – the first year Dan Hughes was the coach of the team. The silver and black are averaging 67.3 points per game, one of the lowest in the WNBA.

Tulsa (3-1) is off to their best start since moving from Detroit to Oklahoma. Skylar Diggins scored 21 points in Sunday’s win that saw the Shock without their leading scorer Odyssey Sims, who was out with a knee injury. Diggins is averaging 16.8 points per game, while Sims is at 17.3 points. Tulsa had the rebounding edge 51-26. San Antonio ranks last in the league with 29.3 rebounds per game.

The Stars and Shock will tip things off at 11:30 a.m. and Stephen Anderson will have a full game report. Follow @andersonstevem and @sastarshoops for live updates.
