The San Antonio Stars are coming off a back-to-back in which they face the Indiana Fever at home tonight. The Stars (12-13) are looking for a win after they lost last night to the Minnesota Lynx. The Fever (11-13) are coming in with a loss to the Chicago Sky earlier this week.

This is the first of the Stars three game home stand. The Stars are currently below .500 (5-6) and can improve their record with a win tonight. Here are three things to look for tonight from the silver and black:

1) Ball movement – The Stars need to move the ball against the Indiana Fever and make the Fever pay for taking good shots. The Fever are a good defensive team but the Stars can win if they move the ball around and good to great quality shots.

2) Defend Tamika Catchings – Tamika Catchings has been on a roll in every game back since her back injury. She’s the Fever’s best player and makes them better. The Stars won’t be able to stop Catchings, but they can make it harder for her to score and be a factor.

3) No X factor – The Stars cannot let any Fever bench player have a great game otherwise it could be a long night for San Antonio. The Stars bench players will have to be more involved in order for the Stars to win.

Milestone watch:

San Antonio’s Shameka Christon needs seven points to reach 3,000 career points.

This is the second of a two game series between the two teams. The Stars currently lead the series 1-0.  The Stars magic number to clinch a playoff spot is six with either wins or Seattle/Tulsa losses. The game will take place at the AT&T Center. It will be televised on WNBA LiveAccess. Check back later for Stephen Anderson’s post game report.
