The San Antonio Stars are back in action tonight as they host the Los Angeles Sparks. This is the second night of a back to back for both teams. San Antonio is coming off a 79-72 loss against the Seattle Storm and the Sparks are coming off a road loss in Tulsa.

The Stars (4-6) have had trouble shooting the ball their last two games and will have to quickly figure it out against the Sparks (3-5), who despite their talent are underachieving this season. In the first meeting between these two teams last month, the Sparks won by more than 20 points. This is the second of four meetings between these two teams this season. The Stars are 2-3 at home, while Los Angeles is 2-3 away from Staples Center.

Things to look for

1. Energy – Who will have it? Both teams are tired, and are going to have to dig deep to play well. It might be a sluggish game or it might be a high scoring game.

2. Defending reigning MVP Candace Parker – Candace Parker is a matchup nightmare for the Stars. She is too quick & mobile against Jayne Appel, too quick for Danielle Adams and all the other Stars posts. How the Stars defend her tonight will be the key to either a victory or loss.

3. X factor – Who will step up and help the Stars? Who will help the Sparks? Both teams are going to need someone to make their presence known in this game.

The game will be at 7 pm local time at the AT&T Center. It will be televised live on LiveAccess. Check back for the post game report by Stephen Anderson.
