Fresh off a big road win in New York, the San Antonio Stars are home to face the Phoenix Mercury. The Stars will look to continue their win streak against the Mercury, Phoenix meanwhile are coming off of a road loss against the Tulsa Shock on Friday night.

The Stars and Mercury met earlier in the season with San Antonio grabbing the 78-74 win.

Things to look for

Danielle Robinson only needs 9 points to reach 1000 points tonight. She will join Becky Hammon, Sophia Young-Malcolm, Shameka Christon, Jia Perkins and Danielle Adams in the 1000+ points club.

Jia Perkins continues to play well so far in 2014. Look for her to continue her strong start. Perkins has averaged 16.0 points in the last three games, hitting 11 of 21 from 3-point

Both teams have split six meetings since the 2013 with Griner averaging 18.3 points in Phoenix’s wins. Griner missed one loss with a sprained knee and has averaged 11.5 points in the other two.

The game will tip off at 7:00 pm local time at the AT&T Center. It will also be televised on Fox Sports Southwest and WNBA LiveAccess. Check back after the game for Stephen Anderson’s post game report.
