The San Antonio Stars have acquired veteran forward Monique Curry from the Phoenix Mercury in exchange for a 2017 second-round draft pick.

Currie comes to the Alamo City after spending last season with the Mercury, where she averaged 21.3 points per game in 34 games. Prior to that, she spent seven seasons with the Washington Mystics.

The Stars will return to the court on Monday when they close out the preseason against the Los Angeles Sparks at 7 p.m.
