Spencer Martin named CCM/AHL Player of the Week

San Antonio Rampage goaltender Spencer Martin has been named the the CCM/AHL Player of the Week, the American Hockey League announced on Monday afternoon.

Martin ended the weekend with a perfect 2-0-0 record, stopping 74 of 75 shots he faced in games against the Rockford IceHogs and Chicago Wolves. His performance in both games saw him finish the weekend with a 0.50 goals-against average, and .986 save percentage.

In eight appearances with the Rampage this season, the 22-year-old has a record of 6-1-1.


The Rampage will return to the ice on Tuesday morning when they welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins to the AT&T Center at 10:30 a.m.
