Short-handed Rampage close out road trip with loss in Stockton

Highlights:

The San Antonio Rampage were the most short-handed they have been all season. Unfortunately, this meant the Silver and Black getting shut out in their road finale.


The Rampage fell 3-0 to the Stockton Heat in front of 4,137 fans inside Stockton Center on Saturday night to close out their road trip.

Stockton scored a goal in each period. The Heat opened the scoring at 14:42 of the first period with Jamie Devane’s first of the season to give the home team a one goal lead after 20 minutes.

Tyler Wotherspoon put the Heat up 2-0 by getting the puck past San Antonio netminder Spencer Martin at 7:45 of the second period. Stockton closed the scoring at 16:18 of the third period with Daniel Pribyl’s second of the year.

The Rampage finished 0-for-3 on the power play and were shutout for just the second time this season.

Up next: The Rampage are now 6-8-0-0 (12 points) on the season and will return to the ice on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. against the San Jose Barracuda at the AT&T Center.
