During the WNBA offseason, several WNBA players go overseas to continue playing basketball. However, for San Antonio Stars guard Shenise Johnson – she came home sooner than expected under extreme circumstances.

Johnson has left Istanbul Universitesi BGD in Turkey after being attacked by a Turkish basketball agent over the weekend, it has been confirmed.

According to SIG Sports, Johnson suffered multiple injuries to her face, head, and body. She was also taken to the hospital for multiple stitches to be put on her mouth. The attackers then made threats to Johnson’s life, which have been forwarded to Turkish police. The San Antonio Stars guard is already back home in the states.
