Shane O’Brien suspended three games by AHL

The San Antonio Rampage will be without one of their best defenseman for the next three games. The American Hockey League announced that Shane O’Brien has been suspended for three games for a illegal check to the head during Sunday’s game against the Iowa Wild.

O’Brien will miss Thursday and Saturday’s games against Adirondack and the April 7 games against Oklahoma City.

The Rampage are 42-20-5-1 (90 points) on the season and will return to the ice on Thursday night when they welcome the Adirondack Flames to the AT&T Center at 7 p.m.
