The San Antonio Scorpions are getting set to open the 2015 Spring Season and are adding pieces to their roster as they prepare to make a run at back-to-back titles. The team made a move on Friday that will make them even more of a contender.
The Scorpions have signed Omar Cummings, the team announced today.
Cummings spent the last two seasons in Major League Soccer with the Houston Dynamo where he scored 3 goals in 37 matches. He spent six seasons with the Colorado Rapids, where he led the team to the 2010 MLS Cup. While in Colorado, he posted 39 goals and 37 assists in 158 matches.
The Scorpions will open the 2015 spring season next Saturday when they host the Tampa Bay Rowdies at 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Field.
