Forward Giuseppe Gentile has been loaned to the San Antonio Scorpions.

Giuseppe Gentile is returning to the Alamo City after FC Chiasso and the San Antonio Scorpions agreed to terms to bring the forward back to San Antonio.

Gentile appeared in nine matches for FC Chiasso and started once. He led the red and black to their first championship in franchise history in 2014. He started four games for San Antonio.

Prior to that, the 22-year-old he played for NC Charlotte. He led them to three NCAA ournament bids, a trip to the 2011 College Cup Final, a 2012 Atlantic-10 regular season title, and a 2013 Conference USA Tournament title.


In other news, the Scorpions released released midfielder Pablo Cruz and signed rookie forward Monbo Bokar.

The Scorpions will return to the pitch on Saturday for an International Friendly against Club Sport Cartaginés at Toyota Field at 7:30 p.m.
