The San Antonio Scorpions closed out the 2015 season with a 2-2 draw against Minnesota FC on Saturday night during a Halloween night match at NSC Stadium.

Both teams were given chances in the first half, but neither was able to get past the goalkeepers to make a dent in the score and we went into the second half scoreless.

San Antonio stuck 11 minutes into the first half when Giuseppe Gentile put home an easy shot in the 54′ after getting a pass from Billy Forbes to put San Antonio up 1-0. Former Scorpion Pablo Campos was awarded a penalty kick in the 70′ and tied the match 1-1.

The Scorpions took the lead back when midfielder Rafael Castillo drilled a penalty kick after Kris Tyrpak was tackled in the box. Minnesota struck back in stoppage time with a goal from Kevin Venegas to officially make it a 2-2 game and neither team was able to get a goal in the final minutes.

The Scorpions finish the 2015 season with a 7-10-13 record and 10th in the NASL combined standings. As of now, the questions still remain: Will Alen Marcina be back? Who will return? And what will happen with the ownership?
