The San Antonio Scorpions have acquired goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes on loan from Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente, it was announced today. Additionally, the team also announced the signing of fullback Milton Palacios.

The 31-year-old has played in over 160 matches in Europe, mostly with Greek side PAOK FC. He led the team to UEFA Cup qualification in 86 games with the club.

I’m super excited and I just want to help…last year’s champions to get back that winning mentality,” said Fernandes. “And then just have fun because football is a game, so we have to have fun. But I love to win. Nothing more.”

Palacios has spent time with CONCACAF Champions League and the Copa Sudamericana.

The Scorpions are currently 1-1-3 (4 points) on the Fall Season and will return to the pitch on Saturday when they take on the Atlanta Silverbacks at 6:30 p.m.
