San Antonio FC signs midfielder Omar Gordon on loan

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC has signed Jamaican midfielder Owayne “Omar” Gordon on loan for the rest of the 2017 USL season, the club announced on Thursday.

The 25-year-old comes to San Antonio on loan from the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL), where he played with Montego Bay United. Gordon was a member of the Jamacian National Team part of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

“We are excited to have Omar join us in San Antonio,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell in a team press release. “Omar has come in the past couple of weeks and shown well with the current team. We are excited to get him on the field with the team after his impressive Gold Cup experience with Jamaica.”

San Antonio FC is currently in the middle of a mini two game road trip and will return to the pitch this Saturday when they take on OKC Energy FC at 7:30 p.m.
