San Antonio FC has signed forward Kyle Murphy, the club announced on Thursday afternoon.
Murphy comes to SAFC after spending the last three seasons with RGV FC. He led the Toros in goals, tallying seven and posting three assists in 31 matches. He made 11 starts for RGV and tallied 44 shots on target.
“Kyle is player the coaching staff has identified over the last couple of years who has been a threat on the attacking side of the ball against us with RGV,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell through a team press release. “Now we are very pleased to sign him. He was looking for a club in the offseason, came into training a couple of weeks ago and impressed us, so we are looking forward to him coming in and competing for minutes straight away.”
San Antonio FC will return to the pitch on Saturday night when they take on RGV FC in the first South Texas Derby of 2018.
