San Antonio FC has signed Kris Tyrpak for the upcoming 2017 season, the team announced on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old spent the 2016 season with the Swope Park Rangers, where he helped lead the team to the USL Cup. He scored seven goals and recorded one assist in 28 games with the Rangers. Prior to that, he spent time with the NASL’s San Antonio Scorpions in 2015, scored two goals in just six matches.
“We are pleased to add Kris to our attacking group of players for 2017,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “Kris is an established player with MLS and USL experience who demonstrates good work ethic and character. We expect him to come into our team and contribute straight away.”
San Antonio FC will open its second season in the USL in March 2017.
