San Antonio FC has signed midfielder Hayden Partain for the 2020 USL Championship, the club announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Partain joins SAFC from Sacramento Republic FC, where he played for three seasons. While with Sacramento, he made 51 appearances and scored five goals while playing 3,250 minutes.
“We are delighted to welcome Hayden Partain to the SAFC Family,” said SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina. “Hayden brings USL experience, is a versatile midfielder and a relentless competitor. Hayden’s characteristics match the player profile of our game model and align with our team strategy and culture.”
In 2019, Partain tallied two goals, eight key passes and a 74.6% passing accuracy in 20 league matches.
“I’m super excited to sign for SAFC,” said Partain. “The culture and environment that Alen and the staff want to implement is something I really believe in. I’m here to win and being a part of this culture makes it possible to achieve those goals.”
Partain joins returning players Kai Greene, Josh Yaro, Matt Cardone, Cristian Parano and Ebenezer Ackon as well as newcomers Connor Maloney, Hunter Gorskie and Jesus Enriquez.
