San Antonio FC has signed defender Bobby Moseley to a contract for the upcoming 2016 season, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon. Moseley was on loan from English Premier League side Stoke City FC.
The 20-year-old comes to the Alamo City after spending the majority of the 2015 season with Stoke City’s U-21 squad.
“Bobby is a talented, young left-sided player from Stoke City,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “He has a good pedigree and a good background in the English game, and he is looking forward to a new challenge in a new country. He fits our system well and we are excited to have him in the squad.”
The Irish international player also spent time with the Ireland U-17 and U-19 levels. He was called up to the U-21 squad in August 2015.
San Antonio FC will open their first season in the Alamo City on the road April 3 against the Seattle Sounders 2 before returning home for their home opener on April 9 against the Swope Park Rangers at Toyota Field.
