San Antonio FC has signed 18-year-old Diego Garcia, the club announced on Thursday afternoon.
Garcia was originally noticed by the club in the 2016 USL San Antonio tryouts. He played one season at Lehman High School before his stint at U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy season in May.
“I’m really excited to be part of this great organization and to join these great teammates, soccer players and coaching staff,” said Garcia. “It’s a great opportunity. Not many guys get the chance to play professional soccer right out of high school here in the United States, so it means a lot to me. I’m ready for it.”
Garcia will be available for selection in tomorrow’s match against Oklahoma City.
