San Antonio FC midfielder Ryan Roushandel has been named club captain by SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell, the club announced on Monday.
Roushandel has shown leadership since joining SAFC, so it is no surprise he has been selected as captain. He is the SAFC Pro Academy coach, fill in broadcaster and player, earning him the nickname “Mr. Everything.”
The 32-year-old Roushandel is the sixth player to be club captain, joining Josh Ford, Michael Reed, Sebastien Ibeagha, Rafa Castillo and Greg Cochrane.
San Antonio FC will open their third season in the Alamo City on Saturday, March 17 in Sacramento before returning to Toyota Field to host Saint Louis FC on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. for the clubs home opener.
