San Antonio FC returned to Toyota Field with a home crowd and drawed 1-1 with Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday afternoon.

SAFC got things started early as Billy Forbes made his return to the Alamo City felt with a goal in the 24th minute to put the home side up by a goal. Tulsa responded with a goal just over three minutes later to draw even 1-1 going into the second half.

Tempers flared in the second 45 minutes as Rafa Castillo’s afternoon ended early after he was given a red card for his involvement in a shoving match in the 51st minute.

Despite a solid half from both sides, neither team could put home the equalizer as the matched ended in a 1-1 draw.

“This was probably our best preseason match,” Forbes said. “Things are starting to build and we’re when we do, it’ll be something special.”

San Antonio FC will close out the preseason next week when they travel to North Texas to face FC Dallas.
