San Antonio FC easily cruised to a 5-0 victory over Dallas City FC in a closed door preseason friendly at Toyota Field on Saturday afternoon.

San Antonio got on the scoreboard early with two goals in the first half. Jason Johnson found the back of the net and added a header to make it a 2-0 lead for the home squad going into the second half.

The second half saw three more goals from San Antonio as they widened their lead. Steve McCarthy made it a three goal lead with a shot from the right side of the field in the Dallas zone. A tally from Carlos Alvarez and a penalty kick from Rafael Castillo would seal the 5-0 win for San Antonio.

San Antonio FC will continue preseason play on Wednesday afternoon when they welcome Corinthians FC to Toyota Field at 2 p.m.

The team will open their first season in the Alamo City on the road April 3 against the Seattle Sounders 2 before returning home for their home opener on April 9 against the Swope Park Rangers at Toyota Field.
