San Antonio FC will resume the 2020 USL Championship season on Friday, July 17 when they travel to face in-state rivals RGV FC Toros, the club announced on Thursday afternoon.
SAFC will host RGV FC on July 25 in its first home match of the resumed season and its second match at Toyota Field overall. The complete schedule sees SAFC play 15 matches to complete the 2020 USL Championship season, including seven home matches and eight away games.
The club will play 10 Saturday matches, three Wednesday matches, and two Friday games and will resume the season in Group D, facing off against the Austin Bold, FC Tulsa, OKC Energy FC, and RGV FC.
Per the club’s press release, SAFC will work with authorities at the local and state level to review the protocols and parameters to see if fans will be allowed to attend matches at Toyota Field. More information on this will be available in the coming days.
SAFC played their lone match of the 2020 season on March 7, defeating defending champion Real Monarchs SLC prior to the season suspension.
