San Antonio FC announces 2017 season schedule


San Antonio FC have announced their 2017 season schedule, which will see an expanded 32-game slate.

The new schedule will see SAFC play 16 home games and 16 away games in 2017. San Antonio will open their second season in the United Soccer League (USL) on Sunday March 26 against the Rio Grande Valley Toros FC at H-E-B Park. The team will then return to Toyota Field to host the LA Galaxy II on April 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Fans will see some new clubs at Toyota Field. Reno 1868 FC as well as the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Sacramento Republic FC. SAFC will make its first trip in franchise history to Reno in August and will be on the road for Fiesta for the second straight season.

April and September will be the two busiest months for the club. April will see San Antonio play six matches, with three being at home. September will see SAFC on the road of five of six matches in the month.

San Antonio FC will play 13 Saturday matches with one match coming on Friday, Wednesday, and Sunday.
