San Antonio FC and Kris Tyrpak agree to part ways

San Antonio FC announced today that the club and midfielder Kris Tyrpak have agreed to mutually part ways, the club announced on Thursday.

According to the club, the decision comes so Tyrpak can pursue other soccer opportunities.

“The club would like to thank Kris for his contributions to the club, and wish him well in his future soccer endeavors,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell through a team press release.


Through six matches with SAFC this season, Tyrpak has posted a goal and an assist. The Texas native signed with San Antonio prior to the 2017 season, in 32 matches he posted seven goals and four assists in 2,389 total minutes.

San Antonio FC is currently 1-2-3 (6 points) on the season and will return to the pitch on Friday night when they take on the Las Vegas Lights FC (2-0-2, 8 points) at 10 p.m. CDT.
