SAFC extends Omar Gordon’s loan for 2018 USL season

San Antonio FC has extended the loan for midfielder Omar Gordon, which will see the midfielder return to the club for the 2018 season.

Gordon joined SAFC midseason, making 11 appearances and posting one goal and two assists along with 23 shots. Gordon’s impact was quickly felt on the pitch as his burst of energy seemed to spark the club.

“Omar joined us midseason last year and showed some great promise,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell through a team press release. “His effort and professionalism were very good and we expect him to continue growing with us this year and contribute even more for San Antonio FC in 2018.”

Gordon joins Pecka, Rafa Castillo, Ryan Roushandel, Mike Seth, Stephen McCarthy, Maxi Rodriguez, Connor Presley, Cyprian Hedrick, Greg Cochrane, goalkeepers Deigo Restrepo and Matt Cardone, Cesar Elizondo, and Ever Guzman in returning to SAFC in 2018.
