SAFC blanks Minnesota United FC in preseason friendly

Texas Flash competed in the 15 and under division at the Texas Showdown National Championship 7on7 14th and 15th in Round Rock.

San Antonio FC earned a 2-0 win over MLS squad Minnesota United FC in a preseason friendly in Florida on Sunday afternoon.

SAFC opened the scoring in the first half when defender Cyprian Hedrick headed home a free kick to make it 1-0. The second half saw hometown product Devin Vega seal the win with a goal and the 2-0 lead.

The victory brings San Antonio’s preseason record to 2-1-1.

San Antonio FC will now spend the week in Florida before facing Orlando City next Saturday.
