SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio FC has added forward Jordan Perruzza to their roster on loan from Major League Soccer’s Toronto FC, the club announced on Thursday afternoon.

Perruzza re-joins SAFC after first playing with the club on loan in September of last season. He posted three goals, recorded 18 shots and added 10 shots on target in 292 total minutes played.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Jordan Perruzza to the SAFC family and thankful to Toronto FC for conducting the loan,” SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina said in a statement. “Jordan is an exceptional talent who performed very well for us last season. He has demonstrated the ability to create and score goals, he is committed to our game model pressing actions, and he always competes and gives everything for the team.”

Perruzza’s addition to the roster comes as no surprise as Marcina’s club has been hit hard by the injury bug with five players missing time due to lower body injuries.

“I am excited to be back in San Antonio and grateful to the SAFC coaching staff,” said Perruzza. “We have some unfinished business to take care of from last season, and I can’t wait to get started.”

San Antonio FC is currently 1-1-1 on the season and will face Birmingham Legion FC at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night at Toyota Field.
