MacArthur quarterback Tyler Vitt has verbally committed to Texas State. The 6’1, 205-pound senior selected the Bobcats of the Sun Belt Conference over Dartmouth and Davidson.
Vitt had a spectacular senior season, leadint the Brahmas into the 6A-Division I state playoffs losing to eventual regional champion Austin Westlake. Vitt finished 214 of 325 passes for a 65.5 percent completion rate, threw for 2,501 yards and 25 touchdowns. In the rushing department, Vitt rolled up 1,030 yards and eight scores.
