Former TCU running back Aaron Green is returning to the Alamo City to continue his football career, it is being reported.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported on Sunday night that the 25-year-old informed the newspaper he has signed a deal to play for the unnamed San Antonio Alliance of American Football franchise.
The 25-year-old Green played for the Madison Mavericks during his high school time in San Antonio.
Green played three seasons for the Horned Frogs from 2013 to 2015. In those three seasons, he ran for 2,426 yards on 445 carries and posted 20 rushing touchdowns. In his final season, Green ran for 1,272 yards on 244 carries, scoring 11 touchdowns in the process. TCU would finish 11-2 and won the Valero Alamo Bowl.
Following his collegiate career, Green went undrafted in 2016 and has spent time in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, and Buffalo Bills practice squads.
